Two young children.
A newly established foreign language school.
Studies, responsibility, the desire to leave my mark — and far less understanding of how to care for the person who was trying to hold it all together.
At 27, burnout forced me to stop.
I didn’t know it then, but that period would change the way I saw education — and ultimately, my entire professional path.
began searching for answers.
Not only about stress and wellbeing, but about much bigger questions:
How does a human being learn?
How do we change?
What shapes our behavior?
What makes a relationship create space for growth?
And what does it take to lead without losing connection with ourselves and with others?
That search led me to Applied Psychology, neuroscience, coaching, and NLP.
To an MSc in Applied Psychology.
To my training as an NLP Trainer under John Grinder, co-creator of NLP.
To decades of study, training, application, and work with educators, leaders, and organizations.
And gradually, everything that had once seemed like separate pieces began to come together.
The science of learning.
Self-regulation.
The power of language.
Human connection.
Coaching.
Leadership.
This is how NeuroLearningPower® began to take shape:
an internationally certified developmental pathway that brings knowledge about the human being into the real-life context of education.
Not to add even more to what educators are already doing.
But to transform the way they think, connect, develop people, and lead.
“We ALSO teach through the way we show up in the space.
Our presence, the way we regulate ourselves, connect, and respond becomes part of the learning environment we create.”

These are not separate pieces of a professional journey.
They are the scientific and experiential roots from which NeuroLearningPower® evolved.
– Effie Kyrikakis
Knowledge gains value for me when it finds its way back to people.
I am not interested in creating educators who simply know more theory.
I want to see women in education understand themselves and the people around them more deeply. Trust their voice and experience more fully.
Develop the language to articulate what, until yesterday, they could feel but could not name.
And then carry that shift into their classrooms, their teams, their organizations, and the educational businesses they lead.
This belief also lies at the heart of EmpowerED, the volunteer initiative we co-created with Kia Karava, Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, to bring wellbeing, self-regulation, and the human dimension of education closer to educators across Greece.
“I don’t want educator wellbeing to be treated as something we remember only when things have already become difficult. I want it to be part of the way we educate future teachers, lead, and build school communities from the very beginning.”
Through training programs, collaborations with universities, initiatives for educators, and an ongoing dialogue with the education community, this work has already reached thousands of people.
For me, however, numbers only matter because behind them are real changes:
-an educator who returns to the classroom differently,
-a school leader who begins to develop her team differently,
-a woman who stops making her professional role smaller and begins to see what else she is capable of creating.
This is the impact I want NeuroLearningPower® to leave behind.
Yours doesn’t have to begin with a crisis.
It can begin with curiosity about what else is possible — for you, for your work, and for the people you influence every day.
